If you have a PC with Sync enabled, go to Manage Bookmarks (Ctrl-Shift-B) and click on "Other speed dials". Delete the folder for the device in question, and the device will be removed from the server.

@shajins2k Every time you close Opera, or every time you restart your computer?

You being signed in somewhere is controlled by a cookie for that site. So if you've set Opera to throw away new cookies on exit, that will log you out. Alternatively some third-party privacy software can be configured to delete cookies - that even includes CCleaner. So if cookies are deleted every time you restart the computer, check for something like that.

@dion06 They're not in Stable yet, so give them time. Opera One is still in Developer, not even Beta yet. When version 100 reaches Stable, then we'll have tab islands. GX is generally a little behind Stable even. Will tab islands be coming to GX? I'm not a developer and don't know for sure, but I expect them to. But it'll be a couple of months I guess.

Hover it, click the "..." behind the location name, select Change location. Fairly obvious.

On the menu go to Settings. In the sidebar, click on the option to show "Advanced" settings. Click on the Browser section, and scroll down to "Start Page". Select "Hide Search box".

you will see about 10 different options in the dropdown related to force dark mode, including one that applies it only to non-image elements.. You might try that.

Actually, you can copy them from "Other speed dials" but you can't sync them directly. Many people have Opera on several machines (say, home and work) and want different speed dials on different machines. There is a feature request for a way to actually sync them; add your support to that request.

As I'm one of those who never has more than 5 tabs open at a time, search in tabs is almost useless to me. But Leo and I are not developers, Opera Software will do what they want not what I want.

Has to do with what happens when you hover (mouse over) a speed dial tile; it isn't a big thing.

@nedrapter Sorry, not in direct contact with them. You probably know as much as I do. At the time I thought since GX was 2 versions behind regular Opera that when we reached that version it would just show up, but we're well past that now.

@pronubDC If you're downloading Opera, what are you using to download it?

Which version of the installer (there's the network installer and the full, offline installer)?

@jubiscreuda12345678 Of course if Opera is set as the default, it could be that he installed some hacked app which is opening those links. Ask him what he recently installed, just before this started.

There are hundreds of sites offering "free" versions of commercial games or other apps, but you never know what else they did while removing that apps security. I'm sure you don't condone that either, but it is possible he didn't try to visit that site.

I mean, more likely something one of his friends sent him, but there are other possibilities.

Concerning Spotify, the question would be whether this behavior is any different from the regular site - can you actually pause ads at all? Why would the sidebar be different from the regular site?

@jubiscreuda12345678 There are two types of history - typed history and visited history. Typed history is things that you actually typed or edited in the address field, while visited history is pages you loaded (whether from typing the address or from clicking a link). The point being, they are stored separately, and deleting an entry from one does not do anything to the other.

So my guess would be that it was an address you typed and visited, but you only removed it from one. Either that or he's lying.

@greatland1959 Currently the weather widget is not working on any OS or version of Opera due to an inability to access the server. Until Opera Software fixes their server, their is nothing to do about it.

@ultrabeto Only thing to try would be a user-agent changer to convince them you're using a different browser.

@Paulyzogaming Too late now. They really should make clear on that page that resetting your passphrase resets Sync completely. Unless you can resync from a machine with all your old data on it, there is nothing we can do to fix it.
